Well if you want to succeed that's not safe or recommended. What you should do is pretty simple, that's why it's overlooked most of the time.
You Have To Get Your Nutrition In Order First And Foremost!
What you eat will have the greatest impact on how you lose belly fat. It's more important than exercise, more than supplements and pills or powders, more than anything else. But it by far the most overlooked and neglected aspect for you to lose belly fat. Why? Because people don't want to give up their favorite foods. And more often than not those foods are the cause of the problem!
So you have to change what you are nourishing your body with if you want results. That means you have to cut out the junk: sugary drinks like soda pop (regular and diet) and energy drinks, highly processed food (think anything that comes a box/package) and fast food. By just doing this you will be ahead of 90 percent of the people out there.
You still have to eat, though, but now you should make better choices and eat smarter. Eat as many whole foods as you can. Limit your carbohydrate intake to fruits and vegetables. Vegetables are a must and are packed with vitamins and minerals. Try and limit your fruit intake (because of the natural sugars) to blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries. Apples are okay too. Protein in the form of grass-fed meat and pastured chickens and eggs are also great. Go for as high of quality of product as you can afford. Good fats found in olive oil, coconut and avocados are also fantastic.
Now Start An Exercise Program That Will Help Burn The Fat.
Once your nutrition is in place, you need to get moving. Exercising consistently will speed your fat loss and get your belly flatter. You should start by going for a walk everyday of at least one mile, two would be even better. Vary your speed from regular to fast along the way. Then you should add in some high intensity interval training three to four days a week. A treadmill, elliptical machine or even a jump rope will do the trick.
This may not be the easiest thing for some people to follow but in the long run it probably is the fastest way to lose belly fat. Think nutrition first then exercise. Keep it simple and stick with it and you will succeed. Good luck.
